Exterior Insulation Finishing Systems (EIFS) can be defined as an energy efficient thermal wrapping applied to the exterior surfaces of a building which are then finished with a long-life, decorative and protective wall coating. In the industry these systems are referred to as EIFS, ETICS, PEIFS, or EWI.
Research, conducted by the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and supported by the Department of Energy, has affirmed that EIFS are the "best performing cladding” in relation to thermal and moisture control when compared to brick, stucco, and cementitious fiber board siding. EIFS are in compliance with modern building codes that emphasize energy conservation through the use of CI (continuous insulation) and a continuous air barrier.
PEIFS is a type of building exterior wall cladding system that provides exterior walls with an insulated finished surface and waterproofing in an integrated composite material system. When installed properly, it makes buildings more energy efficient and superior aesthetics. Life span of the product is the same as the life span of the building. Perfect for new buildings, Renovation and Thermal Insulating Projects.
